Chambers, part of the Go East Anglia Group, want to train suitable people to achieve their PCV bus driving licence to work from our Clacton, Colchester (Kelvedon), Halstead (Sible Hedingham) and Sudbury locations.
How do I get my PCV Licence?
You must be committed to passing the theory test and to gaining your licence. In return we will guide you through the process giving you all the practical experience in our training vehicle you need so you have the skills and tools to pass the PCV driving licence test.
Once you have your PCV licence you will start work as a bus driver:
•Providing an efficient, reliable and on time bus service to customers.
•Ensuring customers have a safe, pleasant and comfortable journey.
•Ensuring the vehicle is driven safely at all times and to the highest standard, including carrying out daily vehicle checks.
•Issuing tickets, collecting fares, and providing timetable information to customers.
•Minimum of one year’s regular driving experience.
•No more than three points on your licence.
•Live within a commutable distance from our operating centres
•Available for full time shift work (normally 4 out of 7), which may include early starts and late finishes.
•Be prepared to work weekends and bank holidays.
•Be calm, courteous and considerate under pressure with a great attitude and excellent customer service skills.
